On July 24th, Paul Maeder, co-founder and General Partner of venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners, was interviewed on the National Public Radio program Talk of the Nation. During this interview Maeder stated that he views energy and the environment as the next major innovation wave and that he is looking at the energy production side and ways of making energy consumption more efficient.
Following this interview Scott Kirsner e-mailed Maeder and received confirmation that Highland is dedicating money and partner time to the cleantech/energy space.
